Manny Pacquiao to make Decision

Although Juan Manuel Marquez remains in pole position for a fourth match against The Filipino Bomber Manny Pacquiao, over the last couple of weeks, a new scenario has emerged that has seen a lot of speculation. According to reports in the media, talks are in advanced stages over Pacquiao – Marquez IV; however, if by chance, the fight doesn’t happen, there are high chances of seeing Marquez take on Timothy Bradley where as Pacquiao returns to the ring against Miguel Cotto.

It was reported on Wednesday that The Pacman would overlook Bradley and Cotto in favor of a fight against Marquez in either November or December when h returns to the ring. Although Cotto was being seen as the least likely opponent for Pacquiao with him penciled in for a fight at Madison Square Garden in New York for the 1st of December whereas Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

But with the date fitting with the schedule of Pacquiao, a compromise with regards to the arena may be reached, according to the statement made by Bob Arum, the CEO of Top Rank. Arum admitted that if The Pacman takes on Miguel Cotto for his return bout, then Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley will fight each other, adding that it is a logical decision and the fighters also agree to the fights. Arum also stated that The Filipino Bomber is not reluctant to face Cotto, however, that might not be the case with Cotto and he can only be sure when his camp gets back to him over the terms for the fight.

Arum has also mentioned that Manny Pacquiao will make his decision on the fight by the end of the week and Marquez is still widely tipped to get the fight.
